Alicia and Her Children: Mother Found Dead, Children Still Missing

In 2014, 27-year-old Alicia Fox lived in Detroit, Michigan. She cared for her two children: 6-year-old Kaylah Hunter and 18-month-old Kristian Justice. Her husband, Erin Justice, was Kristian’s father. Just four months after their wedding, Alicia and her children vanished without a trace.

Alicia and Her Children:  A Mysterious Disappearance

In May 2014, Alicia and her children moved out of their home on Ardmore Street. A few weeks later, on May 24, the family disappeared. Concern grew quickly when Kaylah missed her kindergarten graduation.

When police allowed Alicia’s family to enter her former home, they found it completely empty. Someone had cleaned the house thoroughly, removing all signs of the family. However, Alicia’s clothes, personal belongings, and pictures of the children turned up in a church donation bin nearby. These discoveries raised even more suspicions.

A Shocking Discovery in an Abandoned House

On June 9, 2014, Alicia’s family took action. They started searching for her themselves. Eventually, their search led them to an abandoned house on Penrod Street. In the basement, they uncovered Alicia’s body.

“My uncle lifted the door, and her body was under a tarp. I knew it was her. Her head was covered with a black garbage bag. It looked like he tried to cut off her legs,” Alicia’s sister recalled.

Horrified by the discovery, the family immediately asked, Where are Kaylah and Kristian?

The Arrest and Investigation

Just two days later, on June 11, 2014, authorities arrested Erin Justice in Atlanta, Georgia. His friend, Timothy Jones, also became a suspect.

Investigators uncovered key evidence inside the Ardmore Street home. They found a bullet hole and blood splatter, proving that a violent crime had occurred there. Under pressure, Timothy Jones admitted that he helped Erin hide Alicia’s body. However, he insisted the children were alive when he last saw them. Despite his claims, Kaylah and Kristian remained missing.

Justice for Alicia but No Answers for Her Children

In September 2015, Erin Justice confessed to murdering Alicia. A judge sentenced him to 45-80 years in prison for his crime.

Meanwhile, Timothy Jones negotiated a plea deal, which allowed him to serve less time. He never revealed the children’s location. Later, authorities removed his name from Michigan’s criminal records.

The Children Are Still Missing

More than ten years have passed, yet Kaylah and Kristian remain missing. Their case has not received the attention it deserves. Activists continue to share their story, hoping to bring them home.

“Kristian is 11 years old now. He was just 7 months old when he vanished. His mother was murdered, and his father is in prison. But no one knows what happened to Kaylah and Kristian,” a post from the Bring Home Kaylah and Kristian page stated.

Alicia’s family believes the full truth remains hidden. They demand justice, urging authorities to continue searching for the missing children.
