Sexual slavery

Today, the problem of sexual slavery in America is a global issue, so we decided to use the Lost and Found app to help people in tough situations.

One of the most common forms of modern slavery in the United States is sexual exploitation. It is important that modern society is aware of this major problem.
Every year, hundreds of thousands of cases of sexual exploitation are reported in the United States. It can happen to anyone, regardless of demographic, gender, race, or nationality.

According to the Department of Health and Human Services, the number of people affected is between 240,000 and 325,000, whereas the University of Pennsylvania report puts the figure between 100,000 and 300,000.

People can fall into sexual slavery for different reasons.

However, there are numerous methods of human trafficking. Pimp-controlled trafficking, in which one person controls the victim physically, psychologically, or emotionally; gang trafficking, where the captive is controlled by more than one person and may be abused by gang members or forced into prostitution; and survival sex, which occurs when the victim believes she cannot escape and must perform sexual activities in order to survive.

For a faster and more effective search, the Lost and Found team plans to work with different organizations that support people with similar problems on a one-on-one basis.

In reality, victims who have lost a loved one or relative, or who find themselves in a tough circumstance, can now submit a search request through the Lost & Found app.
